iPhone 4 versus Droid X

The iPhone is said to be the best smartphone out there. However, lately there have been other players to the market such as the Android smartphones.

I have used both and have found that the iPhone has some pros and cons. First off it is very much perfected and has almost no flaws in functioning. It is more refined. It is very easy to to use and the phone even has one button that is how simple it is! However this over simplicity limits the phone’s functions.

The Droid X, on the other hand, is not as perfected. It has not been around as long and the applications in the store are all made by separate developers and do not have to pass any sort of board to get in the market. So some of the applications are glitchy, however, the store is also not controlled so there are many more apps out there that the iPhone does not have. Apple does not want you to have some applications such as tethering as this obviously does not benefit them.

So if you are in the market to buy one or the other, it really depends what you are looking for. Are you looking for simplicity and an easy to use phone? Or would you rather fiddle with the android phone more and try to get it set up exactly the way you want it?

For me, when I compared the iPhone 4 versus the Droid X, I decided that I liked the Droid X better. But you will have to make this decision for yourself. Good luck!!
